MARTIN RICHET est l’auteur de L’Autobiographie de Gertrude Stein (Eric Pesty Editeur, 2011) et traducteur de métier. Parmi ses traductions récentes et à venir figurent L’Ouverture du champ de Robert Duncan (Editions Corti), Les Sonnets de Ted Berrigan (Joca Seria), Pages de Aram Saroyan (Editions Héros-Limite) et un choix de poèmes de Larry Eigner, De l’air porteur / articulation / un monde (Editions Corti). Il prépare une série de livres intitulée Comment vivre.
DONNA STONECIPHER est l’auteure de trois livres : The Reservoir (2002), Souvenirs de Constantinople (2007) et The Cosmopolitan (2008). Ses poèmes ont été publiés dans de nombreuses revues et traduits en six langues. Elle traduit du français et de l’allemand. Sa traduction d’une nouvelle de Ludwig Hohl, Ascent, a paru en 2012. Elle vit à Berlin.
Michael Davidson, Distinguished Professor of Literature at the Univesrity of California, San Diego fera une présentation intitulée “Performing Disability: Poetics and the Defamiliar Body” lundi 18 novembre à 18h. La séance est ouverte à tous, chercheurs et étudiants. Contact : Abigail Lang
“This talk will focus on the poetics of disability in the work of Larry Eigner, Amanda Baggs, Clayton Valli, and the Flying Words Project. Their work offers an important corrective to two major if antithetical models of performance, one based on identity as embodied and one based on identity as performed. The work of disabled and deaf poets and performance artists offers a third alternative by defamiliarizing the normative body of 1960s and 1970s performance poetry while testifying to the lived experience of those who “perform disability” on a daily basis.”
