CĂ©cile Maindari est poète et artiste. 

Parmi ses Ĺ“uvres poĂ©tiques : La BlondeurJe suis une grande ActristeL’ImmaculĂ© ConceptuelRose ActivitĂ© MortelleIdĂ©ogrammes Acryliques… Autant d’ouvrages oĂą elle tourne autour d’un point de sidĂ©ration, depuis lequel le langage lui-mĂŞme semble ne plus renvoyer qu’à son propre mirage. Autant d’ouvrages qui apparaissent aussi rĂ©trospectivement comme des programmes artistiques en quĂŞte de rĂ©alisation future.

 

Elle intervient ainsi rĂ©gulièrement dans des lieux d’art, et oriente de plus en plus sa pratique du cĂ´tĂ© de l’image et de la situation parlĂ©e, comme si en somme toute ses explorations poĂ©tiques n’avaient Ă©tĂ© qu’un liminaire conceptuel Ă  ce geste dĂ©sormais dĂ©cisif pour elle de dĂ©placer le poème dans l’art. 

 

Son dernier opus, Le DĂ©grĂ© Rose de l’écriture, sous-titrĂ© Performance under reading conditions, acte cette conversion s’il en est, l’engage rĂ©solument dans une Ă©criture plasticienne.

 

 

Anne Waldmanis a poet, performer, professor, editor and cultural activist and co-founder with Allen Ginsberg of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University. She is a former Director of The Poetry Project which she helped found in 1966. She is the author of over forty books of poetry, including the book-length hybrid narrative poem Manatee/Humanity(Penguin Poets 2009), and the feminist epic The Iovis Trilogy: Colors in the Mechanism of Concealment (Coffee House 2011)which won the 2012 PEN Center USA Award for Poetry. Other books include Gossamurmur, (Penguin Poets 2013). Jaguar Harmonics(Post-Apollo Press 2014) and Cross Worlds:Transcultural Poetics(Coffee House 2014),  an anthology co-edited with Laura Wright.  Her most recent books are Voice’s Daughter of a Heart Yet To Be Born, (Coffee House 2016) and Trickster Feminism(Penguin 2018) Waldman is the recipient of the Shelley Memorial Award,  a Guggenheim Fellowship (2013-14) and is a Chancellor Emeritus of The Academy of American Poets. She is a frequent collaborator with poets, dancers, musicians and visual artists. She has been I recent collaborations with Meredith Monk. She received the American Book Award from the Before Columbus Foundation for long-life achievement.  Her long life has included travelling with Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder revue, being arrested at Rocky Flats Plutonium Plant with Daniel Ellsberg & Allen Ginsberg and performing with Laurie Anderson at a Lou Reed memorial in NYC.
