Biographies
David Christoffel est poète et compositeur, homme de radio et docteur en musicologie de l’EHESS. Auteur d’opéras parlés (récemment Échecs opératiques, Opéra de Rouen en 2018 et Consensus partium, Festival d’automne à Paris en 2020), il travaille sur les rapports entre poésie et musique en publiant de nombreux articles et en dirigeant le volume Orphée dissipé (Revue des Sciences Humaines, 2018). Producteur de l’émission indépendante Metaclassique diffusée sur de nombreuses radios associatives, il est l’auteur d’Ouvrez la tête (ma thèse sur Satie) (aux éditions MF, 2017) et de l’essai La musique vous veut du bien (PUF, 2018, rééd. 2022), ses travaux sont recensés sur le site http://www.dcdb.fr/
Anthony Joseph is an award-winning Trinidad-born poet, novelist, academic and musician. He is the author of four poetry collections and three novels. His 2018 novel Kitch: A Fictional Biography of a Calypso Icon was shortlisted for the Republic of Consciousness Prize, the Royal Society of Literature’s Encore Award, and long listed for the OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature. His most recent publication is the experimental novel The Frequency of Magic. In 2019, he was awarded a Jerwood Compton Poetry Fellowship. In 2020 a Polish translation of his afrofuturist novel The African Origins of UFOs was published, followed by a Spanish edition of Kitch. As a musician, he has released eight critically acclaimed albums, and in 2020 received a Paul Hamblyn Foundation Composers Award. He holds a PhD in Creative Writing from Goldsmiths University and is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Kings College, London.
His new collection Sonnets for Albert was published by Bloomsbury in June 2022 and is both shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best Collection 2022 and for the TS Eliot prize for poetry.
