Bios
Norma Cole is a poet, visual artist and translator. Poetry books include Alibi Lullaby, FATE NEWS and Where Shadows Will: Selected Poems 1988—2008. Translations from the French include Danielle Collobert’s It Then,Jean Daive’s White Decimal, and Crosscut Universe: Writing on Writing from France(edited and translated by Cole). Her visual work has been shown at the Miami University Art Museum, [2nd floor projects] in San Francisco, “Way Bay,” at the Berkeley Art Museum. A book of drawings, called DRAWINGS, appeared from Further Other Book Works.
Joshua Edwards was born on Galveston Island. Among his books of poetry are The Double Lamp of Solitude, Architecture for Travelers, and Imperial Nostalgias, and he’s the author of a photobook, Photographs Taken at One-Hour Intervals During a Walk from Galveston Island to the West Texas Town of Marfa. He translated María Baranda’s Ficticia and with Lynn Xu co-translated two books by Yang Licai, Pee Poems and Prison Poems and Temple Speak (forthcoming). He directs Canarium Books.
Lynn Xu was born in Shanghai. She’s the author of two books, And Those Ashen Heaps That Cantilevered Vase of Moonlight, and Debts & Lessons, and two chapbooks, June and Tournesol. Currently a fellow at the Institute of Ideas and Imagination, she teaches at Columbia University and coedits Canarium Books.
