Anne Waldman—internationally acclaimed poet, performer, activist, and magpie scholar—has been a force in experimental “Outrider” poetics for over four decades, recognized in the lineages of the Beat, New York School, and Black Mountain traditions while raising the bar as a feminist and cultural activist. Author of more than 60 books, including the classic Fast Speaking Woman, the monumental Iovis Trilogy, and most recently Mesopotopia, her work spans epic poems, essays, performance, opera, and multidisciplinary collaborations. Anne was a co-founder of The Poetry Project at St. Mark’s Church in New York and, with Allen Ginsberg and Diane di Prima, the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University in Colorado. She tours Europe in November 2025 with Outrider, a film on and with her, directed by Alystyre Julian, produced by Sarah Riggs, and executive produced by Martin Scorsese.
Marine Cornuet is a translator, poet, and editor. She writes in English and in French. Recent translations include Cloche Pèlerine (Le Castor Astral, 2024), a French translation of Kaveh Akbar’s poetry collection Pilgrim Bell; and Algeria, capital: Algiers (Pinsapo Press and Lost & Found, 2024), an English translation of Anna Gréki’s 1963 poetry collection Algérie, capitale Alger. Forthcoming translations include a poetry collection by surrealist poet Annie Le Brun (forthcoming with Black Sun Lit), and a talk by Françoise Vergès on decolonial methodology (forthcoming with Lost & Found). She is the author of the chapbook Keeping the Chaff and the Wheat (Unsolicited Press, 2018) and has shared her work at various NYC venues including Unnameable Books, Field Projects, Totah Gallery, Friedman Gallery, the NYC Poetry Festival, the Bowery Poetry Club, and FiveMyles. She is the co-founder of the literary journal Clotheslines, an editor at Ugly Duckling Presse, and a member of the editorial and artist collective Pinsapo Press. She currently lives in Paris.
Vincent Broqua is a writer and translator. He works with text, video and narrative for a politics of gaiety. He writes in French and English. He teaches in the MA in Literary Creation at University Paris 8, where he is a professor of North American arts and literature. He co-curates the Double Change and the Poets and Critics series. His latest book is Gaiamen (Al Dante / Presses du réel, 2025).His book Photocall, projet d’attendrissement was awarded the 2021 Prize for gay novel/poetry in France. Recovery, translated by Cole Swensen, was published by Pamenar Press (2023). Other books La langue du garçon (Al Dante, 2023), Et là je me mets en danseuse (with Anne Portugal, Cahiers de la Seine, 2025), Au téléphone avec Jacques (Yvon Lambert/Martine Aboucaya, 2025). He is a translator of many poets & writers, such as Caroline Bergvall, Jim Dine, Thalia Field, Kevin Killian, Monica de la Torre, Karen Sandhu, Layli Long Soldier, Tracie Morris, Redell Olsen, and Anne Waldman.

Outrider (Éclaireuse), d’Alystyre Julian, est le premier portrait cinématographique long métrage consacré à Anne Waldman, poète épique, performeuse et militante nommée aux Grammy Awards. Outrider collabore avec Waldman en tant que « personne tissée » de poésie, force créatrice et sociale inimitable vouée à la propulsion de l’imagination artistique et aux collaborations génératrices qui se forment dans son sillage. Le film évolue dans les cercles artistiques et le tourbillon poétique de Waldman, incluant, entre autres, Patti Smith, Meredith Monk, Bob Dylan, Laurie Anderson, Thurston Moore, Pat Steir et Fast Speaking Music. Outrider célèbre l’énergie visionnaire et la présence transcendante de Waldman, qui canalise la puissance tonitruante de la poésie à travers la tradition ancestrale des bardes.
