Lecture organisée dans le cadre d’un atelier de traduction collective autour de l’œuvre d’Asiya Wadud (Université Gustave Eiffel, 26-29 mai 2026. Informations et inscriptions ici). Biographies :
Autrice de langue française, Charlène Dinhut vit et travaille actuellement à Paris. Plak (Quartett éditions, 2026) est son premier livre de fiction. C’est un conte, un poème, un journal, une épopée dont la langue est à la fois la matière et l’aventure. Elle est par ailleurs programmatrice de films au Centre Pompidou et pour tënk où, attachée à la circulation des formes et des genres, elle travaille souvent les passages entre art et fiction, entre fiction et documentaire. Elle a co-dirigé avec Mathieu Potte-Bonneville l’édition de l’ouvrage collectif Planétarium (Editions du Centre Pompidou, Paris, 2025) et a enseigné l’histoire du documentaire de création à l’université Paris 8.
Asiya Wadud is a writer, most recently of the poetry collections Mandible Wishbone Solvent, No Knowledge Is Complete Until It Passes Through My Body and the chapbook like threadlove, like rubble, like excess. Other recent work can be found in Interlude Docs, POETRY, e-flux journal, the Paris Review, and the Danspace Project Journal. Recent projects have been supported by Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Foundation Jan Michalski, Tekstintalo Helsinki, and Danspace Project.
Simone White is a New York based poet and critic. She is the author of 6 books of poetry and prose including or, on being the other woman (Duke 2022) and the forthcoming Warring (Duke), book-length essay on contemporary rap music, and New Poems for Museums (New Directions). Her writing on visual art has been published in Artforum, Mousse Magazine, Frieze and many exhibition catalogs. She is Associate Professor of English and Associate Faculty Director of Kelly Writers House at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the writing faculty at Bard College’s Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts.
